The small print, in plain English
Submission terms
These apply when you send a game idea or a suggestion to Games Community. Last updated October 2026.
The short version: when you send us an idea, you give it to us for good. We can build it, change it and share it, you won't be paid, and you can't later claim it back. If we build it, we'll credit your nickname unless you ask us not to.
1. Who we are
Games Community is a small website run from the UK ("we", "us"). You can reach us through our contact form.
2. Who can send ideas
You must be 18 or over. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian needs to send the idea for you and agree to these terms on your behalf.
3. What you're agreeing to
- You give us all rights in what you send, including any copyright, so that we own it outright. This covers the idea, the description and anything else in your message.
- You agree we can use it in any way: build it, change it, combine it with other ideas, publish it, or not use it at all.
- As far as the law allows, you waive any moral rights in it, such as the right to be named as author or to object to changes.
- You won't be paid for it, now or later, even if the game becomes popular.
- You confirm the idea is your own, and that you haven't copied anyone else's characters, artwork, music or story.
4. What we agree to
- If we build a game from your idea, we'll credit your nickname, unless you asked to stay anonymous.
- We'll only use your email to talk to you about your idea.
- We won't sell or share your details. See the privacy notice.
5. Similar ideas
Lots of people have similar ideas, and we may already be working on something like yours. Sending an idea doesn't stop us making games that look or play like it, whether or not they came from you.
6. Feedback
Suggestions sent through a game's feedback box are covered by the same terms.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you send an idea is the one that applies to it.
